Deco Coffee Co. was created as a modern expression of a family legacy that began generations ago in Buffalo, New York. Inspired by the original DECO restaurants and the people behind them, we’re building something of our own — a coffee and lifestyle brand rooted in what we believe matters most: being authentic, inspiring, timeless, and intentional. Rooted in heritage, built with intention, and made for what comes next, Deco is our way of carrying the story forward.
A Name With History
The DECO story traces back to 1918 in Buffalo, New York, when Gregory Deck began with a small lunch stand that would grow into one of the city’s impactful names. Known for quick meals, familiar counters, and what was billed as “Buffalo’s Best Cup of Coffee,” DECO became part of Buffalo’s everyday rhythm.
Over the decades, the original restaurants became woven into the city’s lunch-counter culture — serving workers, students, and locals through a time when Buffalo was fast-moving, practical, and built on routines.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
For us, Deco Coffee Co. started as a way to reconnect with a piece of our family history and give it new meaning. As brothers, we saw an opportunity to take inspiration from the original DECO story and build something that felt personal, modern, and true to us. We are not trying to recreate what once was. We are creating something new — shaped by where we came from, but designed for the way people live, work, and gather today.
